Well just in case you haven't heard, our dear friend Dave recently ran afoul of the law. Mad props to T-Bird's moms, Mrs. B. Kingham, for bringing this to our attention. The following is a transcribed quote from an early-week edition of Manchester's Union Leader.
A Bedford man is charged with three crimes, which allegedly occurred during a break-up with his girlfriend. Police charged David Hodes, 23, of 131 Hitching Post Lane, Bedford, with domestic assault, criminal mischief and false imprisonment on Thursday morning. Hodes allegedly broke a table and "put his hands on (his girlfriend) to calm her down", police said. He was placed on $5,000 recognizance bail.
And here's his mugshot:
Well, at least the story is legit...
Unfortunately however, it is. Johnny D to the Yanks. I know... it stings. Rub it and it'll feel better. Or not. If all else fails, just repeat after me...Beckett and Lowell and Mota OH MY! That shit works for me at least.
In all seriousness, best of luck to JD. He has been one of the best in Beantown since he migrated from the A's, and you gotta love the guy. As a die hard member of RSN, it is certainly bittersweet. I get excited thinking about the atrocious amount of RBI's he will hammer in with the NYY lineup, and nearly ill realizing how this will affect the Sox more than anyone.. Let's just hope Theo's rumored "consultant" position will yield a couple more bats and a better bullpen.
I finally figured out how to create a poll with php, and I'll be damned if it doesn't look awesome. Please note that it will currently only let you vote once, so don't be surprised if you try to stack up the votes and don't see you efforts in the results. So look down on the left hand side and let your vote be heard!
In other news, if you saw yesterday's post, you know I was giving away a bootleg copy of the new Notorious BIG CD Duets. I am pleased to announce that the winner was none other than Matt Lynch. Since it is the holiday season, I'm going to extend this offer for another four lucky winners. So if you need an illegitimate hip-hop fix, drop me a line in the comment pane (now on the right hand side!), and don't forget to include your mailing address. Also, shoot me a comment if you have a good idea for an upcoming poll. No submission is too outrageous.
And just so you don't lose the faith here are a couple hot links. First we have something that takes me back to the old days when I was lead out into the Raymond woods on a bogus assassination mission, only to be double crossed with a lethal bucket of water to the dome. Of course, I'm talking about the water gun based strategy game, Assassins. If this game doesn't conjure up fond memories, or if you just want to relive them, there is Street Wars. The classic simulated violence you love, on a metropolis-wide basis in cities like SF and NYC.
And just for amazement purposes, there's this:
Parachute fails, skydiver sails, unknown pregnancy prevails!
Welcome to TuneInDropOut.com version 2.0! This new design feels so much nicer/lighter/more spacious than the old red and black getup. I also tried to stick with the simplicity theme I started a few weeks back. More will be added each night after I get out of work, so keep your ears to the streets.
Also, WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE SEND ME A COMMENT? You can use that spiffy comment pane down there on the left hand side, and write whatever you want. I don't even care if it's in English. Tell you what... the first person who sends me a comment will get a bootleg copy of the new Notorious BIG CD Duets, from yours truly. For real. Don't forget to include your mailing address, knuckleheads.
A few months ago I was sent a video of a police shootout in N. Texas. At first it seemed like a run of the mill Real TV segment, and I was interested though not enthralled. Last night, Lynch sent me the follow-up police pictures and a hi-res version. Look at the video and you will watch a blizzard of automatic gunfire explode from the back of the pursued vehicle, while in the pictures you will see a near-deadly fire pattern and some astounding images. How this guy survived is beyond me.
Hello friends! Just a quick update to keep you informed. I finally fixed all the links on the left navigation cell (yeah I know it's been months and you no longer click on them, I don't care). Now you can get all the pics, links, snow, and sports you desire. In addition, check out the comment form on the lower left hand side. Use this to send me a message about anything you want. And just to prevent you feeling like you wanted something new and exciting, here's a couple fun links:
Today (and any other day you view this post, I guess) is your lucky day. Why, you ask? Well let me tell ya. Today, we have not one, but two hilarious pranks. One is merely a set of revealing photos, and the other a instant classic of a movie. Since anyone who is cool saves the best for last, let me jump in with the pics first.
It began with a simple, perhaps childish observation. After creating a mockup of this prank using post-it notes, Jaden's bulb had a major power surge and the devious idea was born. This prank is quite simple, cost 12 bucks, and it is pricelessly amusing to someone who appreciates humor on the 7th grade level. As many of you might know, we live in a duplex and share the other side with three pretty cool guys. These esteemed gentlemen decided it would be wise to leave for Thanksgiving break, a decision that proved most unwise. First let's take a look at the neighbors door BEFORE: (Click for big pop)

Now, let's take a look at their door AFTER the dirty deed: (For the slow kids, click for big pop):

SEE?! IT'S FUNNY BECAUSE IT SAYS GA... oh never mind.
With that out of the way, let me introduce our feature presentation. Tom M and Katie G recently stopped by on their way to Lake Tahoe, and it wouldn't be a typical visit from a 603'er without some trademark mischief. And what's more traditional than antiquing? Nothing, that's what. For all four of you out there who aren't in the know, according to Urban Dictionary, antiquing is defined as:
Without further ado, may I present... Alex Gets Antiqued!
