Facebook Honeymoon by Matt on September 13, 2007 @ 10:46 PM

Hey kids! I finally got the motivation to update, and as usual, when I finally sit down to do it I have five or six different things to write about. Since no one likes a two-thousand word blog post, I'll probably just write them out then spread them over the next couple weeks or days. Check back and see!

So I'll start off with what's new around here. First off, I've made a new poll! Not too exciting, but very nice to get that old one outta here... I'm pretty sure it had cobwebs and about an inch of dust on it. Next, you may notice the contact box on the lower right hand side is gone. Evil spammers have taken control of my inbox by hijacking the form with bots, so until I redesign the site in the upcoming months, it will be out of commission.

Moving along... When I first signed up for MySpace, I absolutely loved it. Fast forward a year or two later, and I am starting to despise it. Lets start the littany of complaints... a flood of daily spam friend request (although it has improved as of late), the fact that you cant control who's bulletins you see, the visually offensive layouts that your friends decide to use, and how you have to adjust your settings to turn off auto-play music. I have more, but we'll leave it at that. My MySpace honeymoon is over.

Enter Facebook. Although wary at first about signing up for ANOTHER social networking site, I soon found Facebook way more professional and useful. To cut this is a bit short because I am ready to go to bed, let me get to the point. Through Facebook, I have recently reconnected with a couple really old friends from childhood. One of these friends has started a political website, and I wante to give it a shout out. Check the mission statement and link below:

Whosyourcandidate.com's mission is to inform and interest those who have otherwise been uninterested in our nation's presidential race. The site's purpose is to provide the average individual with information that is unbiased and fair on each presidential candidate while staying focused on the facts, leaving behind the negative side of politics.

Linky Linky!
